Pet Time Petcare Services

How Does It Work
Initial meeting
For services to be carried out at your home we will come out to meet you and your pet(s), take a brief on your exact requirements for the visit, and collect a key. There is no charge for this visit, although if a further visit is required (e.g. to collect a key if not available at the briefing meeting) a mileage charge may be applied.

For dog boarding at our home we invite you to visit us to see where your dog will be staying and for your dog to meet Patch to make sure they get on.  We do this introduction on neutral territory first, then introduce Patchís new friend to his garden then his house. We can then discuss your exact requirements and take a brief on your dogís normal routine and activities.

Keys
Keys can be returned at the end of an assignment, or at the customerís wish held securely in case we are required to visit your pet at short notice. When not in use keys will be kept locked in a safe, and will not be identified with your name or address.

In the event of the loss of a key by Pet Time which requires a locksmith to gain entry to a property, I am insured for the cost of replacing locks and keys.

Booking
We are happy to take text or e mail bookings. Please note that a deposit of 20% may be required at busy periods such as school holidays.

Cancellations - home boarding, cat sitter visits or house sitting

A full refund of the deposit will be made for cancellations made over a month before the booking start date.
50% of the deposit will be refunded between 2 weeks and a month of the booking start date.
The deposit will not be refunded if the booking is cancelled less than 2 weeks before the booking start date.
This reflects our ability to replace that booking within the given time frame.

Cancellation - regular dog walker visits

Regular walks cancelled with more than 24 hoursí notice will not incur a charge, cancellations made within 24 hours will be charged at half of the normal rate.
What you can expect from us
We will follow your instructions to our best ability to ensure your pet has a happy and safe visit by or with us. However, we cannot be held responsible for any issues occurring outside our control.

We will tell you straight away if we have any health concerns about your pet and will take your instructions and advice. If we are unable to contact you, or a person you have nominated, we will arrange a visit to the vet if it is considered to be in the best interest of your pet.

We will leave your home as we find it, and will take all reasonable care with your property.

We will accept bookings for unspayed bitches providing they are not in season at the time they are due to board with us.

We regret that we cannot accept home dog boarding or doggy daycare bookings for entire males or any dogs under the age of one year.

What we expect from you
You will advise us of any of your petís medical or behavioural issues which may affect the service we provide to you. This includes illness, aggressive behaviour, incontinence, excessive barking, bitches due to come into season etc.

If your dog is being boarded or attending day-care at our home you will guarantee that they are up-to-date with vaccinations, and a de-fleaing and worming programme. A vaccination certificate will need to be seen on the first visit.

You will supply enough food for the entire booking, or will agree to reimburse us on production of a receipt if this is not the case.

If it is necessary to take your pet to the vet, our time and any vets fees will be refunded by you.

Regular dog walking customers will be invoiced weekly, for all other customers payment will be due upon completion of the assignment.
