Our fees include up to an hour’s walk daily, feeding, cleaning out and fussing yourpets; and there are no registration or sitter’s food charges. Other services can also be carried out by arrangement. We stick to your normal routine as far as possible to create the minimum disruption for your pets. We will also ensure that your house is occupied between 7.30 pm and 7.30 a.m. and as much of the rest of the day as possible. As I actually move into your house for your holiday period this, in practice, is most of the day.
House sitter services are also available to people without pets, please ask for details.
Key holder service - regular clients may benefit from our key holder service. Keys are kept in a safe when not in use, and customer names and addresses do not appear on the fob so there is no security risk. This would suit people who travel often, might be kept late at work or for that unexpected trip away. This service is Free of Charge.
Home boarding for dogs
We are pleased to offer a dog boarding service as an alternative to putting your dog into kennels. Your dog will live with us in our house as part of the family and will have access to our securely fenced garden. Your dog will be walked regularly and given lots of fuss and attention.
We can provide food if required (at an additional cost), but encourage you to supply the dog’s normal diet. Please also feel free to bring their bed, bowls, favourite blanket and toys and anything else that will make them feel at home.
We normally board up to two dogs at a time so it is important that all dogs that come to stay with us are friendly with other dogs.
We will not board your dog with a third party unless with your express agreement.
Daycare is an alternative to our dog walking service, and is suitable for dogs who do not like to be left alone for long periods. Your dog can be dropped off with us or collected for a small charge, and will enjoy a fun and active day. They will be treated as part of the family, and will enjoy the company of Bella and possibly other dogs for the day.
Home visit - dog walking
Your dog can be walked on or off lead from your home or at an agreed location, either solo or with company. (Bella loves walks, and will happily join in with anyone who asks.)
Older dogs or puppies can be given slower, sniffy walks in their locality, giving them the opportunity to stretch their legs and check out who’s around.
Your dog walker will work in all weathers, so if your dog comes home wet they will be left towel-dried and warm.
We do not collect a number of dogs together for big group walks; instead we prefer to provide the highest quality of service to one or two clients at a time.
Home visit - feeding dogs, cats and small animals
As well as feeding and watering your pet we will let them out for a toilet break if they are kept indoors, or clean out the litter tray or bedding in a hutch. As pet sitters we are used to dealing with the less than fluffy side of animal care!
Pets will be checked over for general health and wellbeing, and will be given lots of attention and fuss. Small animals like rabbits and guinea pigs can be let out into a run or put away for the night.
A written report is provided after all home visits.
Other home visit services
Security - checking doors and windows are locked, turning lights on and off, opening and closing curtains, checking appliances are off, bringing in the post.
Plant care - we undertake watering plants inside and outside pots.
Horse, pony and donkey care
As a horse owner for many years, Michele is happy to look after up to 4 horses, ponies or donkeys at one property. Services offered include turning out, bringing in, picking out hooves, rug changing, mucking out, feeding and watering.
House and pet sitting
House sitting is a very cost effective alternative to kennels and catteries for families that have a number of pets, and it is a deterrent against burglary when homes would otherwise be vacant during holiday time.
